Le Four à Pain
This Gîte is located in the oldest part of the settlement, known for centuries as ‘la Blache’. In old Occitan La Blache or la Blaca means “place of pollarded white oaks and chestnut trees”.
There is a giant old chestnut tree in front of the Gîte and inside, in the bedroom, above your bed is an in-built domed oven, thought to be very old. It is cool in summer and warm in winter.
Outside you can sit in the shade of the chestnut tree and soak up the scenery, or enjoy the sun on the terrace. Generations before you have done exactly the same thing.
Inside are all the comforts of a good night’s rest and a modern bathroom.
This Gîte (54 m², max. 4 persons) is just a step up from the courtyard. You enter the living room through French doors. It has a wood-burning stove and a double sofa bed. The open kitchen has an electric hob and oven, a microwave, a coffee-maker, an electric kettle and a fridge. There are two single beds (0.90 x 2.00) in the bedroom. The spacious bathroom has a bath-cum-shower and a vanity unit. The separate toilet is next to the bathroom.
